Pre-Primary and Primary

The curriculum in the pre-primary & primary school aims at the physical, social, emotional and cognitive development of the children. We follow the principle of integrated education. Hands on experiences play a major role in nurturing the spirit of exploration and enquiry. Themes in the groups are taken keeping in mind the learning needs of the children. The language curriculum is designed to provide rich experiences in listening, speaking, reading, writing comprehending and understanding. To deal with a mathematical and science concept, concrete material, relevant situations and games are used. The curriculum provides opportunities for exploring, experimenting, observing and drawing conclusions. We believe in giving something to think about, instead of just homework.

Sports curriculum lays emphasis on development of team work, gross motor skills, stamina, flexibility, balance, strength and overcoming fear. Art, music, dance and theatre help children to express themselves and connect to their inner selves. We do not take unit assessment or examination till Class II rather we use new methods of evaluating their progress that is on daily class performance basis.

Middle & Secondary School (VI to X)

The middle & secondary school curriculum is designed to facilitate enquiry, research and rigorous study such that young people can connect with increasingly complex constructs with an enduring interest. Experiment based curriculum approach is planned in the middle classes with project work spread out over longer periods of time and across discipline areas such as science, languages, arts, social science and mathematics. Through project work, children are encouraged to make fundamental connections with the processes of enquiry. Project presentations will often be put together as exhibitions and models that are shared with different classes. We believe in giving something to think about, instead of just homework. Specific processes are also integrated with the curriculum to help children take the impending daily assessments, unit assessments and examinations with confidence. Children are introduced to Formative & Summative assessments. CBSE guidelines are followed to the core. Special stress is laid on life skills and confidence building activities.

Structure of the day for the students of S R Global School

The day for the children of S R Global School begins with assembly followed by a project activity or class which is related to the theme taken during the week. During the day children go through creative experiences like dance/music/art/theatre. They build their relationships with language, math and Science. Academics is made enjoyable by providing hands on experience in the form of field study, excursions, lab work and team activities. There is one hour of fun time each day, where the students get respite from the heavy schedule of studies. The day for the children comes to an end with a sharing time within the groups, where children share their experiences and reflect on the day.

Sports, both outdoor & indoor, provide physical activity and a sense of well being to the students.
